Sarah Palin: Geography Scholar

Fox New's Carl Cameron, who covered the McCain campaign all year, just reported these interesting tidbits that were "off the record" until now:

(1) Governor Palin did not know that Africa was a continent consisting of multiple countries. (Maybe she is the next George W. Bush after all.)

(2) Governor Palin did not know the countries who make up NAFTA (that would be the U.S., Canada, and Mexico in the North American Free Trade Agreement).

(3) Governor Palin refused any prep help before being interviewed by Katie Couric. So, lest you think she was over-prepped, that was all Sarah who disagreed with Roe but agreed with the "privacy" rationale behind it before being unable to name another Supreme Court case she disagreed with.

Let's hope the GOP has the good sense to look elsewhere for 2012.

On an "unrelated" note, did I mention Mike Huckabee has a new show on Fox News? I caught it last week and he talks in a civil manner to those who disagree with him (Richard Dreyfuss and Bill Maher) and they all leave on friendly terms. Quite a concept. Show still needs some work, but Candidate Mike is well ahead of the game for 2012. And with that I pledge to write nothing more about 2012 until 2010.

Good thing none of those "gotcha journalists" didn't get a hold of that dish. Those conservative columnists doubting the VP selection don't look so disloyal all of a sudden...
